Biography

Dania McDonald Lane, Harpist, received a Bachelor's Degree in Harp Performance from the University of Georgia and pursued Graduate Studies at the Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music in Ohio. 

Well known as an accomplished orchestral player as well as a freelance artist, Dania is affiliated with many professional orchestras. She is the harpist for the Montgomery Symphony, Lagrange Symphony, and has recently performed with the Atlanta Symphony, Valdosta Symphony and Albany Symphony (GA). She has also appeared with the Columbus Symphony (GA), Knoxville Symphony, Rome Symphony, Georgia Philharmonic, Northern Kentucky Symphony, Macon Symphony, Columbus State University and the University of Georgia. 

Dania has been featured on NBC in Cincinnati, Q-100 radio, and the WBTV12 Community Focus program. She has entertained audiences with artists such as Josh Groban, Bernadette Peters, Suzy Boggus, John Berry, Mark O'Connor, Joseph Alessi, John Bruce Yeh, Riders in the Sky, Chris Martin and Mark Hughes. Dania has also performed for well-known Georgians such as Sonny Perdue, Brenda Wood, Kasim Reed, Zell Miller, Andrew Young, and Michelle Nunn. Dania also appeared on the television shows Real Housewives of Atlanta and Married at First Sight. 

She has freelanced extensively for 20 years, developing a highly expressive style with a music playlist to please every generation. Her performances can include anything from "Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini" to "Moon River" to "Beauty and the Beast". 

Dania works both as a soloist and as part of a duo or trio with flute or violin and cello. She performs for weddings, receptions, corporate parties and many other events. Dania can also be seen performing with various orchestras, choral groups and church ensembles.
